Thanks first for being a reader! Second, you may have noticed that the ezine is coming from a new place. We have finally moved the OK-Ezine over to a permanent site that host it and the entire Opportunity Knocks Project.

We are still dedicated to teaching about Opportunity and how to access it. In the coming issues you will see us talk more and more about owning a home-based business, as we believe that is the best economic Opportunity available today. We will still talk about other kinds of Opportunity as well.

1.) Power Thought - You Will Struggle No Matter What

One of my mentors taught me one of the most important lessons in my life:

You will either struggle and FAIL...

Or you will struggle and SUCCEED!

Do you understand the significance of that? Failure almost always means you struggle throughout life. Even treading water leaves you struggling.

But did you ever think about what it takes to be successful?

It takes WORK.

Hard work sometimes.

So you can struggle ALL YOUR LIFE... to end a failure.

Or you can struggle for PART OF YOUR LIFE... to end a success.

It means you shouldn't give up because this success/getting rich/winning a championship stuff is hard... Of course it is!

Your path in life will require struggling of some kind.

4.) Main Article - What Do You Pray For?

What do you pray for? Do you even pray?

I would bet that most people who do pray, offer prayers by rote... They repeat the prayers they learned in childhood or later as adults. Never pondering the meaning nor thinking that there are other ways to pray.

Currently, one of the more popular books is called the Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson. The Prayer of Jabez is an actual pray taken from the Old Testament.

Wilkinson gives us this version, though he doesn't state which translation it comes from:

"Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, 'Because I bore him in pain.' And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, 'Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!' So God granted him what he requested."

Jabez asked for help and asked for a specific kind of help. Jabez asked for help in enlarging his territory which at that time meant better finances and success. Many think it is wrong to pray for these things, that you should not be "selfish".

Let me ask you this... Is it selfish to desire to have more so you can do more? Is it selfish to desire to enlarge your horizons so you fulfill your potential? Is it selfish to desire more so you can do more?

I have long believed that my calling if you will is to show others how to create success for themselves and others. That is what Opportunity Knocks is about.

Now do you think it's possible for me or others to do these things if we are poor, have doubts, have fears, lack the confidence and abilities of successful people?

Of course not. It is ridiculous to think that God desires all of us to be poor wretches or that God will punish us for asking for things for ourselves that help us fulfill our God-given potential.

I began praying this prayer, and new opportunities and new possibilities have appeared. I feel like I am getting closer and closer each day to having a MAJOR impact in the lives of more and more people.

Would they have come anyway?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Is it the prayer itself that made the difference?

Not exactly.

The difference comes from asking for help and asking with faith... Faith in God and faith in you. Faith that God will work through you do help you fulfill your potential and to use that to eventually help others.
