is a quote from the Bible. Many will probably recognize it. Today let's
apply this to our lives and our businesses. Now about that works part... If you don’t work toward your success, it ain't gonna work toward you either! Faith alone is insufficient. I can be full of faith that in the morning there will be $1 million in my bank accounts. When I wake up and check the balances, it's unlikely to be there. Why? I had faith. I just KNEW it was going to happen this time! It's not going to happen because I didn't work toward it. If you desire something and you believe that the desire, belief and faith is all you require to receive it, I fear you will be left in the cold waiting for it. Action, rightly and properly aimed, will increase your chances of success, though nothing will guarantee it. Success is a possible outcome, but it is never guaranteed. Those that realize that success is never guaranteed are the ones who work 3 times as hard as the others. They make success happen. They work toward their goals with faith that they will eventually arrive. 3.) Recommended Resource I know that this is going to be going too far into the tech side of things on the Internet, but I simply MUST rave about Extreme Tracking. This website has one of the best sets of reports to track the number of people coming to your website, how many are unique, what kinds of browsers they use, screen resolutions, how they were referred, etc. etc. The best part is that it is free for 1 page per site. If you want to do more you can pay $5 per month for up to 10,000 pageviews. Each additional 10,000 is $3. It's a steal! I use it to track visitor statistics at all my sites and those I manage. It is an invaluable tool. All you have to do is sign up and insert the code they give you onto your home page or any other page. You go to your site and then learn about your visitors. Find out if you should develop for a higher resolution monitor because the vast majority or your visitors use high-res. Find out how many are Internet Explorer or Netscape users. Also find out which version! Find out what search engine sends people to your site the most and by what key words. There is so much that will help you market and develop your site. I mention it in practically every article or tape I do. It is more important to have your mindset right than it is to know what magic phrase will sign up your prospects. Yet, I also know that just listening to the tapes and reading the books doesn’t always work. As
I have pondered this, the thing that sticks out is that most of the
information is just too far above people's heads. It's not that we,
as beginning networkers or beginning entrepreneurs, are too stupid.
We just don't have the That is where Fric and Frac come in. It's our goal to help people get the right start down their success path. We do this by breaking down what should be common sense (notice how uncommon it is, especially in politics?) into it's smaller, step-by-step components. For instance, when your sponsor in your networking business tells you to set goals, they assume you know how. Or worse that you know how to set Network Marketing goals. There is a difference! As a new person, did your sponsor tell you to just make those calls? Talk to more people? Use the 3-foot rule? Probably. And did you know what they meant by all that? Probably not. Did they explain it to you? Did you understand it then? Probably not. We often forget that things we take for granted are new for someone else. We forget that they cannot yet 'see' the magic when we are presenting our opportunity. We forget that they have no idea that a 'no' now may become a 'yes' later. We forget that they are going to be mercilessly pounded by well-meaning friends and family about their decision to get involved 'in one of those'. They have raw skin just waiting for the salt to be poured in. Not
all trainings and trainers do this. Many are fantastic at taking the
complex and making it easy to understand. Frac
and I will endeavor to bring some of that to this corner of the world.
We will attempt to fill in the gaps and help Will we be successful? Maybe. Maybe not. But I darned well guarantee it's going to be a lot of fun and you won’t be disappointed. We don't have all of the answers by far. But we have learned a lot and observe a lot. We have been 2x4ed over the head by the biggest and the best to learn our lessons. We have seen some mistakes made. We have made a lot of mistakes. Most importantly, we have learned from these mistakes. I hope. For now, I leave you with this thought as you work your business... What is missing from my training, my experience and my daily routine that would make me more comfortable and more successful in doing my business? If you don't know... guess! Like John Fogg says, make it up. We all do anyway. If you knew, what would it be? What would you like it to be? Think seriously about this and write the answer(s) down. When you have a list of 3-5 things, take 20-60 minutes of quiet time (what's that!?) and visualize yourself with these things present in your life. By visualize I mean, find a quiet place. Sit comfortably. Put on some instrumental mood music if you like. Darken the room if need be. Close your eyes and mentally picture some situations where these missing things are now present. What do you say? How do you stand/sit? How do you sound? What words do you use? What kind of people do you speak with? Who do you hang out with? Where do you live? What do you drive? Picture as many details as possible. If
you have never done this before, it WILL be difficult at first. But,
it also WILL get easier with practice. The more This
will impact your life. Things will change. You will have faith and belief
in the possibilities and opportunities. You So figure out what is missing and pretend you have it for 20-60 minutes a day. See what happens! Success to You and Yours! Tim
