1.) Publisher's Note

Things are achangin' yet again as we grow and expand our scope! Last week, Fric and Frac had a great meeting with Doug Firebaugh about the future of Success Maniacs and where we should take things.

And with Doug's endorsement and addition of our ezine signup to his website, our numbers have slightly more than tripled! Thanks go out to all of our new readers!

Doug gave us great advice and agreed to work with us and help us get things REALLY moving! Doug is going to produce a brand new 2 tape set EXCLUSIVELY for the SuccessManiacs Group! We will let you know when that is ready to go.

Although we promised new products last week, we had to hold off as we put some things into place. We should have them ready to go in a few days.

This week we have a guest article by Sue Seward. Sue is known for teaching about doing business on the internet. She has some great info for us this week.

See you next time!

2.) Power Thought

Frac and I were discussing the demands we place upon ourselves those others place on us. We noted that some people have mountains of tasks before them and cheerfully and effectively plow through them with out major disruptions to their lives. Others however find themselves overwhelmed and fall further and further behind in their lives.

What is the difference?

Some will automatically say the first group is simply more organized than the second.

Some will say that the second doesn't have the skills to deal with it.

Others will say that the first group is task oriented and the second is feeling oriented.

Some or all of these things may be true at any given time. But these don't explain the fact that ALL of us fit into both groups at some point or another in our lives. No one is forever focused and effective. No one is forever overwhelmed by life.

So what is the difference?

It boils down to one thing we believe. Motivation....

Not the rah-rah type. I am talking about the source of why these things must be done...

Is it internal or external?

Are these things imposed upon us or do we create them because we have the desire to do them or have the results?

In other words, is your life controlled by you or by others? Whose goals are you working on? Yours or others?

When you feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with life's challenges, look at these challenges... The ones causing the most stress are almost always those imposed by others. These are external motivators. Your challenges that are fun to do and effortless to tackle (no matter the difficulty or complexity) are almost always ones of your own choosing.

The key to being happy and productive in times like that is to simply fill your plate with your own projects or projects of your own choosing.

While this is not always 100% possible, it is a great goal to work toward.

A final thought here... When you are getting that overwhelmed feeling, examine what is before you and see what external things you can safely get rid of (without losing your job for instance).

You can always do more than someone else when your plate is filled by YOU and theirs is filled by someone else!

So, fill your plate yourself as much as you can.

Confidence in Networking on the Net!

Personally I believe that people have more confidence in themselves than they think they do.

After all we go about doing all kinds of jobs, run companies, corporations, medical practices, law offices, make friends, run households, bring up kids, develop social relationships, etc, etc. etc........

It may really be Network Marketing or marketing on the Internet that we do not have belief and confidence in.

In the minds of many people MLM is still a scam. And we know there are a lot of scams on the Internet. They're popping up everyday!

Until we cut through the myths, get out there and educate ourselves and other people about what network marketing AND Internet marketing really is and to let them know that there really are legitimate online opportunities for them, people will keep on believing like they do.

It's up to us as professionals to educate, teach and help other people!

Marketing on the Internet is not about selling or being a good salesperson, or using cheap, hypey, tacky sales techniques. It's still about building relationships with people, which we all do in our everyday lives anyway. We're just building them online with folks all over the country and the world!

Timing in a person's life is always an important factor too.

Start asking people questions about their lives. Take an interest in people and what they WANT not necessarily what they need!

Find out where they're hurting and see how you can help them.

Maybe yes maybe no. But at least give them a chance to tell you what they're interested in.

If they're not interested in what you're doing try not to take it personally.

What you're doing just may not be for them.

Or it just may not be the right time in their lives. Make sure you find out if it's ok to keep them in the loop. Put them on your mailing list.

This is where Group Mail comes is real handy! I organize people into certain groups depending on what they're interested in. I can then send out a message to that entire group with the name merged in automatically. This way I can keep in touch with them.

Group Mail is a very inexpensive, one time fee to purchase the software. It's been a real time saver for me! There's a free version and a paid version. The free version only allows you to send out a certain number of emails at once. I have the paid version because some of my groups have over 1,000 folks on them.

I highly recommend that people start a newsletter or EZine as some call them.......and invite people you meet online to subscribe so they can stay informed on business issues of importance to them. This is one of the very best ways to build your people list!

And believe me your people list is your gold folks!

It's always good to find other people with large people list to join you in your business too.... they are out there... believe me... I've been fortunate to have found some of them and they are in my downline.

You can send your newsletter out on your group mail account or there are some free areas such as Yahoo that you can use to send out your newsletter.

Be a good influence to the people and give them valuable information and they'll most likely stay on your people list!

If they do want you to remove them respect their wishes and remove them promptly! Remember it's not personal...they most likely just have a lot going on in their lives and just might be on information over load!

We all have busy lives with jobs, business, spouses, kids, activities, church, parents, our homes to care for etc.

Remember to respect people at all times and think about THEM and what they WANT! People are important! Treat them like you would want to be treated!
