Publisher's Note 1.) Publisher's Note Wooohoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sold our first set of Success Maniacs hats and shirts this past weekend in Ashland, KY! Thanks to the group out there that attended the Doug Firebaugh Saturday event! We were on hand for a short while Friday evening and received an incredibly warm and positive welcome. It has been an incredibly busy week here.... Been off traveling in the deepest, darkest hills of Eastern KY... (I can say that, my mom was from there! :)... Worked... Got together with friends to make an incredible dinner for our wives... Worked... Went to Mass Sunday morning... Worked... It's been a blast though! Can't wait to meet more of you as Frac and I make the circuit speaking to various MLM groups this summer! See you then... Fric 2.) Power Thought All I know is that life is good and always getting better. To quote a former upline of mine, Troy Helming (now President and CEO of Aztech Financial Services), 'This is the worst it will ever be. It only get's better and better!' The pessimists (and the close-minded, supposedly positives) will say 'How awful! You're doing so bad it can't get any worse!' Well, OK. One of my friends actually believes it CAN get worse, no matter what. He is thankful for what he has, which he should be, but mainly because 'it could be worse.' Why is the latter bad and the former good? It's relative. The first statement assumes two things: 1. the past is the past and doesn't equal the future and 2. It will ALWAYS get better than it is now. The latter statement assumes 2 things as well: 1. It is a struggle to get and keep what you have and 2. Things are more likely to get worse than better. If not, why the focus on what could happen? Your outlook on life determines so much. It is your filter. Do you know what a filter is? A filter eliminates undesired particles and things from whatever is poured through it. What kind of filter do you have? Do you eliminate the positives or the negatives? May God bless.... Fric. 3.) Recommended Resource DailyFire by Doug Firebaugh is one of the best daily motivators I have seen. Doug is the master at getting you to THINK and also taking a virtual 2X4 upside your head whether you need it or not! DailyFire
takes quotes, either by Doug or someone else, and gives you some insight
to them and how it could make a DailyFire comes out Monday through Friday and takes about 1 minute to read. It's one of the best minutes you can spend any day! http://www.mlmleadership.com/dailyfire.htm 4.) Article by Tom 'Frac' Veit Measles, Mumps and Rubella Vaccines In addition to the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines being in short supply. The chickenpox vaccine, whooping cough vaccine, and Prevnar vaccine, which protects against potentially deadly pneumococcal bacteria (commonly called warm market rejection). Are in very short supply. Ouch, the one vaccine that you require to have stock piles of is in short supply. Did you hear that! Short supply! What are you going to do about it? Run and cover your head in the sand (no you lose), act like you dont need a vaccine for friendly fire (no you lose), pretend you dont need it (mind over matter type thing, no you lose). Before I go further, let me tell you a story I heard several years ago: A man was in The Vietnam War and was shot several times with an automatic rifle. Bullets went into his hip and arm. Upon impact he immediately dragged himself out of the hostile area and into a safe harbor. Now, the bullet that went into his arm near the wrist crawled up his bone andembedded itself near the elbow. The pain was immense, as you might believe. The only reason he could crawl out was instinct and awesome life saving training. The great news is after the war he went home and landed a career in network marketing and lived happily ever after (lol). However, the story doesnt stop there. Someone ask this man in front of several people a question. Which was, what was the most intense pain you ever had in your life? Easy answer right? Wrong, he never flinched and said, when I asked a good friend of mine to take a look at a business opportunity and he replied no. The other man that was there said, Hey, you mean to tell me the gun shot wound that crawled and burned its way up your arm wasnt the most pain in your life? The man said, no, it was a personal friends rejection that hurt the most. Now do I have your attention! The Prevnar vaccine, which protects against potentially deadly pneumococcal bacteria (commonly called warm market rejection) is in very short supply. So what can we do to minimize the bacteria that leads to pain and quitting. Here is my top seven: #1 Rome wasnt built over night. Do not think your business will be built over night as well. Knowing that one of your three friends just said, get a real job doesnt mean your opportunity has only two prospects remaining. Therefore, Im in panic mode, because both of my remaining friends have to sign up, or I lost my investment! The answer is buy leads. Wouldnt you rather talk to people that want you to talk to you. Cutting Edge Media and Bamboobiz are two great sources for leads. #2 I believe your warm market should be reserved for sharing your products. If Sam Walton ask everyone to buy the next Wal Mart most people would not. However, if he asked them to shop at Wal Mart, they might be great customers and say shop there every month. Could your business use a few more customers every month? #3 When you start in this business always have your sponsor ready to answer questions for you. You cant know everything about your business after just getting started. However, your sponsor can be a great asset for you. The great thing about MLM, when you make money so does your sponsor. Therefore, he/she should be ready to help. #4 Always look before you leap. In other words, have a system in place before you just blurt something out. Theres a right place and time for everything. #5 Make sure you present on an individual basis. If you are just starting out, a group presentation can go wrong with one person. Who in turn turns the entire group off on MLM. #6 Buy your companies training tapes. It always amazes me that people will not invest in their own training tapes from corporate. Why get into business with a half deck of cards. Does McDonalds ever let anyone skip French fry class? I do not think so. The truth is if your company cost $1,000,000 to get started, you would probably treat it like one. Some people have invested only $500 or less in MLM and treat their business like its only worth $500. #7 Less is more. Do not over load your prospects with all the details. Too many details, and the prospect will say, great company but I could never do that. I think its crazy that everyone in MLM isnt successful! Until next time. Tom
