the fruit of this soon on the website. Also keep an eye out for an exclusive
tapeset by Doug on the website. 2.) Power Thought What is Network Marketing About? For me it is about touching and changing people's lives. I approach this business as a ministry or a calling. It's my job in life to help others become the best they can be. That is why I am in network marketing. It's the best vehicle for that. Where else do you get paid for helping others make money? Where else do you get paid for self-development? Where else do you get paid what you are worth or more? Where else do you decide where you work, when you work, how you work and with whom you work? Where else do you get excellent products and services that can impact your life... and get paid for recommending them to others? Where else can you travel to Vegas, Orlando, Barbados and Hawaii and deduct it on your taxes? Where else can you get paid to meet people? Where else can you create a full time income on a part time basis? Where else can you create Time Freedom? Where else can you create Wealth Freedom? These are just some of the things that network marketing is about for me? What is it about for you? Email
what MLM is about for you to Fric@SuccessManiacs.com and we will publish
the best of the best here in the next ezine! 3.) Recommended Resource Have you ever noticed that there are an awful lot of Christians in MLM? I don't know about you, but I think that is a Good Thing. And all these Christians come from all kinds of different sects... We have Catholics, born-again fundamentalists, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc. etc. (Don't be offended if I left yours out...) Until recently there hasn't been a place on the internet for those of us that have a deep faith in God and are networkers to go. Doug Firebaugh and Ben Johnson have partnered up to create a new website called... ChistiaNetworker.com! The site has just been launched and will be updated quite frequently over the next several weeks with articles, trainings and insights to what it means to be a Christian and a Networker. http://www.ChristiaNetworker.com 4.) Article Recently I was perusing the MLMDevelopment.com Forum and came across in interesting post be someone. The gist was that this person was looking for a REAL opportunity, a caring sponsor, good comp plan, etc. etc. Nothing unusual about that of course. But the other criteria basically made it impossible for this person to find a company and be successful. What were they? Here is a list:
This person's last sponsor taught to buy leads and make the calls. After all that work, the check was small... Hmmmn... What exactly is this person looking for and expecting from an opportunity. Here is a modified version of my response: 'Most (80% according to a conversation I once had with Doug Firebaugh) successful MLMers made their money in product based companies. Most of these were nutritionals. Every company out there has stories about people making pennies for years and other making thousands in their first weeks or months.... All in the same company! So, what is the difference? The distributor in most cases. How fast you get paid is entirely up to the distributor. How smart and consistent you work determines your pay more than anything else. Attrition is high EVERYWHERE... except free programs and affiliate programs on the web. If it's free to join, of course you will stay forever. How do you expect you or anyone else to make money in a business that doesn't have products to sell each month? Services? OK. But you still have to buy the services every month. Only scams and true pyramids will let you collect a check based on recruiting instead of selling. Stability comes from having a consumable product or service that is high quality, a good comp plan, good leaders, timing and a million other things. Rarely will the types of comapnies you seem to be looking for be able to meet this one. Training cannot be done online. You can be educated. You can read learn things on the internet like you do here. However, real training is the application of these things. What we learn at MLMDevelopment.com only works when practiced in the real world. One bit of advice to cut down on responses you don't want... Specify exactly how you define a good opportunity, what makes a good sponsor in your eyes and how not 'wasting money on products' fits in your vision for you in this business. That way others can better determine if you are the kind of person that they are looking for before they bother you. If you tell people what you are looking for, you are more likely to get it.' I thought everyone should see this. It is important to have realistic expectations and this person does not. Our tape, Treat Your Business Like a Business (also part of the Right Start Pack for MLMers), talks about this. Your expectations help determine whether or not you decide you are successful or not. If you expect to make thousands of dollars in a couple of months by working 10 hours a week, not buying your company's roducts/services, doing everything online, not working with consumables or even generating your own leads... Well, you are likely to be disappointed to say the least. You can make money in that situation. But is it stable income? What kind of loyalty will your reps and customers have if you don't have to make product purchases to make the money? Is that even a legal program? Loyalty to a leader or a company comes from that company/products/leader having an impact on a person. If your products or services don't excite you, can you effectively promote them? My advice to this person and to you is this... Decide what you are looking for in an opportunity and what you can do to make that opportunity work. Then present that to potential sponsors (if they don't already ask) to see if your expectations line up with reality. Thanks and have an awesome day! Tim
